FAQS & Contact Us
FAQS
We can arrange a private taxi transfer from Essaouira to our stable and back for 300 MAD (round trip). If you have a rental car, our team will be happy to send you detailed directions to help you find the stable easily.
We recommend wearing long trousers, leggings or comfortable jogging bottoms to avoid rubbing while riding. As Sidi Kaouki is often windy, we also suggest bringing a light jacket or windbreaker if needed. Closed-toe shoes are recommended.
Our horses usually go out once a day for rides with our guests. In addition, they have access to a paddock at the stable where they can move freely, roll, play and relax. Their welfare is our priority, and we carefully manage their workload to keep them healthy, happy and motivated.
No! We welcome riders of all levels, from complete beginners to experienced equestrians. We carefully match every rider with the most suitable horse to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
Yes. We provide riding helmets in a wide range of sizes for both children and adults.
Arriving 10 minutes before your scheduled ride is enough. For safety reasons, our team prepares all the horses before each ride, so they are ready when you arrive. This also allows us to make sure each horse is properly equipped and matched with the right rider.
If you would like to canter or gallop during your ride, simply send us a video of yourself cantering or galloping before your booking. We will assess your riding level and confirm whether this will be possible. Canters and gallops are only allowed for experienced riders and when the weather, terrain and horse’s condition make it safe.
All of our rides include a video of your gallop filmed by your guide. However, if you would like a video similar to the ones featured on our Instagram, you can add the Quad Video Option for €30. One of our team members will follow you along the beach on a quad to capture your gallop, creating the same style of video you see on our social media.
Yes. If you need to cancel or change your booking, please contact us as soon as possible. Our team will do their best to help you and explain the available options according to our cancellation policy.
Our photoshoots are adapted to every rider’s level. If you are not comfortable cantering, we will adjust the experience by offering beautiful walking videos with your horse, more photos on the beach, and portraits with your horse.
For safety reasons, bareback photoshoots are only available for riders who are already experienced riding bareback. Your safety and the welfare of our horses are always our priority, so we tailor every photoshoot to your riding ability.
Photoshoot 1
Our guide will meet you at the entrance to the beach with your horse. Once you arrive on the beach, you will begin with your canter (it is possible to do two), while our guide captures your photos and videos.
Photoshoots 2 & 3
We will pick you up by car in Sidi Kaouki and drive you directly to the beach, where the rest of our team will be waiting for you.
During photoshoots involving a bridleless horse or free horses, the guide arrives with additional horses and the car. This helps your horse know exactly where to stop and allows our team to ensure the highest level of safety throughout the session.
You will complete one canter and enjoy a dedicated photo session.
All shooting lasts approximately 1 hour.
All of our photos and videos are captured using the latest iPhone models to ensure excellent image quality.
Your canter is filmed from a quad bike while our team captures both videos and photos throughout the experience.
Yes! You can upgrade your experience to a professional photoshoot with a professional photographer for an additional €130.
Our team will contact you after your booking to arrange a time that suits everyone. Whenever possible, we recommend scheduling your session at low tide, as it provides the best conditions for cantering on the beach and creates the most beautiful reflections for your photos.
We offer three different options for our treks:
- Private Trek – Just you and your guide.
- Semi-Private Trek – Two riders with one guide.
- Group Trek – Join a small group with a maximum of 6–7 riders.
Groups larger than 7 riders are only accepted upon request and are reserved for experienced riders travelling together.
We provide a complimentary transfer from your accommodation in Sidi Kaouki to our stable. You will usually arrive around 10:30 AM.
Your day includes:
- 3 hours of riding
- A 1-hour picnic break
- Another 3 hours of riding back to the stable
You will usually return to the stable between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM.
Our picnic is freshly prepared the day before by a local cook, especially for your trek.
We are happy to accommodate all dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other special diets. Just let us know your preferences in advance
In most cases, yes. We carefully match each rider with the horse that best suits their experience and riding style.
However, if you don’t feel comfortable with your assigned horse, or if we notice that the horse needs extra rest, we will happily provide a different horse to ensure the best experience for both rider and horse.
No. We do not provide insurance covering riders during our treks.
We strongly recommend checking what your own travel or personal insurance covers before your trip. At the beginning of each trek, you will be asked to complete a form including your insurance policy details and emergency contact information.
Unfortunately, treks are non-refundable.
However, if you cancel at least 30 days before the start of your trek, we can convert your deposit into a credit voucher that can be used towards a future booking.
For our Semi-Private and Group treks, accommodation is in shared rooms.
If you would prefer a private room, this can be arranged for an additional fee, subject to availability.
